In all cases where both rakeback and free gifts are offered at the same site, you can only choose one or the other. We often get asked which is the better deal, so here's the scoop. In almost every case, if you're going to play more than the bare minimum to redeem the free gifts, you will be better off in the long run with rakeback as long as you can purchase the gifts you're interested in elsewhere. The primary reason to use the free gift offer in preference to getting rakeback would be if you're signing up at a site that you would just like to check out, but aren't likely to play at much in the long run, especially if that site is a skin on a network where you would later have the opportunity of still getting rakeback via separate signup. Occasionally, low stakes players will also find it easier to clear the requirements for the gifts than to put in the time to earn rakeback equivalent to the value of the gifts.
