Who's rooting who?

Postby clabbers » Jul 16 2010

Gabe Costner is the only one I'm sure I have played with, so he's my choice. We started out at the same table in the 2008 PLO8 1500. Good luck Gabe.

I'd love Tony Dunst - Bond18 to get to the final table.

Doesn't seem to be any women left in the field? If there is I'd support the lady.

Well much as I hate glory hunters, it's Theo Jorgensen for me.

Met him at the Ladbrokes Poker VIP Golf day at Celtic Manor in April, and was sat next to him at dinner after day 1 (of the golf), where of course I pumped him for poker tips

Then bumped into him in Starbucks at the Rio again and had a chat. So as he's my 'mate' now, it has to be him.

I didn't want Bellande to win, but his personality would have been good for the November 9. Anyway, he's out so it's moot.

Hope a couple of personalities make it. Not too many 20-somethings. Not good for TV. Two or three fine.

With JRB gone they need Grinder.

The one time I played with him, he was fairly obnoxious. He does liven things up at the table, but he isn't my favorite guy. I suspect I would find him entertaining away from the tables, but people whose schtick includes being an ass in order to tilt other people don't get a lot of respect from me.

Yeah they have to be hoping for Grinder now. There really aren't many names left. There are a lot of good players, but not a lot of interesting players. I suppose if Lodden makes it they will have a segment about the game and then we get more Antonio / Phil time as well (yawn).

Sigh. My first post should have contained the word live. I've played with Scott Clements online several times. Go BigRiskky. GG Gabe.

Have to go with Lodden (even if he is the shortie)

Played him live several times and he is a really nice guy + I came up ahead in our last outing (Norwegian Championship) so its good for my self-esteem

The chipleader is a 2+2 guy who posted about Harrah's clamping down on those folks who were smoking weed in the parking lot. I find that amusing. I suppose I'm rooting for Roothlus based on the way he tilted Hellmuth last year.

I know Grinder and Roothless - who the hell are the other 10 left right now!

There's even an Italian - got to hop he makes it to the final 9!

I haven't got a clue who anyone is apart from the Grinder. I sure hope he makes it or it may be a very dull final table.

Joseph Cheong (subiime) is a somewhat well-known internet MTT specialist. Jason Senti is also a 2+2er known as PBJaxx with 4k posts. Soi Nguyen looked to me like the guy most likely to be shown as the outsider since this is his first live cash, although someone else says he is a poker pro. The guy in 10th right now (Brandon Steven) owns a car dealership. Filippo Candio apparently occupies the acting like an idiot slot (and is Italian to boot).
