When will the bubble burst in the ME?

Postby chrisjp » Jul 11 2010

35% remain. How many will fall by the wayside in 8 hours of play Monday. Haven't looked at the structure but maybe half?

If that's true then bubble will burst later in Day 4 than last year.....anyone willing to look up and compare the structure of 2010 v. 2009?

<chrisjp> ok last year and this year structure appears the same. That would mean Level 16 or early level 17.
<chrisjp> They've played 8.5 levels so far
<chrisjp> four tomorrow
<chrisjp> so 12.5
<chrisjp> says 4 on tuesday, that could change
<chrisjp> but 16.5 should be right at bubble
<chrisjp> that may be what they are shooting for

Looks like bubble will burst late or end of Tuesday.

I think it could go until early Wednesday this year. I remember that last year we were all convinced that people were busting way too fast with over-aggressive play. Of course, that could easily enough happen again.

Yes, possible. We will have a pretty good idea after today.

From a poster at =4. His percentages could be way off.

With six days to go until the final table, a possible schedule to get to the final table is as follows:

Day 3 - 2557 to 1278 (50% player loss)
Day 4 - 1278 to 639 (50% player loss, in the money)
Day 5 - 639 to 213 (67% player loss)
Day 6 - 213 to 71 (67% player loss)
Day 7 - 71 to 27 (62% player loss)
Day 8 - 27 to 9 (67% player loss)
