Made day 3 of empire state holdem championship

Postby poker_Elmo » Aug 15 2010

Started w 30k, ended with 107.1k. 95/175 players left.

Play resumes at noon eastern today. Blinds today start at 500/1000 and end at 1500/3000.

Played a bunch with Vanessa R. yesterday - chad brown also in this.

Will be posting updates on Twitter (pokerelmo)

That's great! Nice and slow structure see. Bubble doesn't bust until Day 4. Here's a link to the stucture and days of play.

Who has a link to some reporting on the event?

Made it to day 3, but had a bad last level and ended at 60k.

That's only half the average, but it is still 25 big blinds.

Ugh!!! I know you played well, just like your Mom. Hurts to lose those important flips down the stretch. GG.

Money started at 20. I busted 32 or 31. It sounds like it's close, but not too close. (Would be like busting 1800th in the million if they pay 1200).

It was a co raise - I pushed kq from the button w 56k to pick up about 12K in the middle.

I must look tight, because he nitrolled me and took about a minute to call me w TT.

I am up some at cash, and my mom won $2500 in a tourney yesterday, so all is not lost.

Plus, I think I played much better here than in my wsop cash this summer. That was the first time the whole tourney I was all in and called. (only all in once and not called)

Matt played beautifully!! He was patient and aggressive. Only one all in & he lost a coin flip. . . oh well. can't wait to be on rail for his next event. I'm hoping its in Vegas or at Bicycle so I can fly out to watch!
