Re: 2011 WSOP Schedule announcedHave to talk to wife about it, but I think I might try to arrive the morning of the 17th, then play $1500 on Saturday and the $1000 on Sunday if I don't make day 2 of the $1500.
I don't know what it is about the release of this schedule, but it when it is announced I feel like a kid at Christmas
Re: 2011 WSOP Schedule announcedThe 1K event starting on Sunday is to make sure all players go off Day 1. Liked it a lot more the other way. Fewer casual players this way since they can't begin on Saturday. Of course two of the 1Ks remain the same format as last year with two Day 1s--Event 8 and Event 54. One begins Saturday June 4. And one Sat. July 2.
Looks like, for me: Event 8: Sunday June 5, 1B Event 20: Sunday June 12 Event 30: Friday June 17, Seniors Event 34: Sunday, June 19 (hope I have to miss this) Event 38: Wed, June 22 Event 45: Sunday, June 26 Event 54: Sunday, July 3, 1B Event 56: Tuesday, July 5 Event 58: ME probably Day 1D which will be Sunday July 10 (I think, haven't seen the details of that) Otherwise hanging out at the Venetian. Schedule subject to change. Chris Poker taught me how to be self critical and how to use to that to improve...also taught me how to dust myself off and go again. The past is the past. Learn your lessons and move right on. --Paulif
Re: 2011 WSOP Schedule announcedLooks like june 27th, 30th, and July 5th for me... work permitting!!

Re: 2011 WSOP Schedule announcedDid you guys notice that they added a 25-25 level to the 1500s? I haven't looked closely at the whole structure to see if they removed something soemwhere else, but I think that's a good change. As it was, the 1K events, with 3K starting chips, actually played a little deeper than the 1.5Ks, with 4.5K chips, because of the extra level.

Re: 2011 WSOP Schedule announcedFinally settled on a tentative plan...
I'll be in Vegas the weekend of 6/25 for events 43 ($1.5K) and 45 ($1K). Really wanted to do the ME this year, but then I went and got a new job, so probably can't swing the time off.
Re: 2011 WSOP Schedule announcedNice fletch...see you here.

Re: 2011 WSOP Schedule announcedI'm tenatively playing Events 6, 8, 14 and 17. I might play more cash or more Venetian depending on my mood.
